Sergei at the wheel

This is Sergei, the only person who has been with me on Charlie for the entire trip from Scheveningen to Istanbul. He has been everywhere with us. Sergei had never been on a sailboat and told me that after five hours on the North Sea at the beginning of the two month voyage to Greece, "I think I want get off." But, he stayed and even taught me and the other crew members about real culture. Sergei and I have had exciting adventures on Charlie.
Judy and Peter eat Breakfast in Riviera

Judy and Peter at breakfast in Hotel Riviera in Agia Trias, our favorite village in Greece. We have been visiting Agia Trias since 1969 and love it. We knew the grandparents of the current owner and cook, Paniotis Aristolidis. As usual, we had the car packed and suddenly Vassu, his mother arrived and suggested we eat a light breakfast, which meant coffee, home baked cakes, olives, feta cheese, fresh bread and tomatoes. Just what we needed! They gave us a bottle of their own cippora, which is made from grape skins after ouzo is finished. It is strong!
